Article 1: Confidentiality Commitment
Since ethic is at the heart of our business, L’ATELIER DES LANGUES commits to respect the confidential nature of the information and documents that you submit to us; we extend our commitment beyond the delivery of your documents. L’ATELIER DES LANGUES imposes the same confidentiality commitment to our suppliers and to all our external collaborators.
For his part, the CLIENT commits to the non disclosure of all information received: quotes and internal documents sent by L’ATELIER DES LANGUES.
Article 2: Quotes and Orders
Upon placing an order, THE CLIENT fully accepts all general terms of sale of L’Atelier des Langues. These terms may be modified only by a written agreement between both parties.
If THE CLIENT does not provide the text to be translated before the quote is provided, then the quoted price shall remain indicative.
L’ATELIER DES LANGUES will start working on the submitted documents, ONLY after the acceptance of the quote and the acceptance of the general terms of sale. The signature of the order by the client shall result in the full acceptance of our general terms of sale.
L’ATELIER DES LANGUES does not accept handwritten documents.
For the translation of certain specialized texts, THE CLIENT commits to supplying a lexicon and/or any supporting material to help with comprehension, during the entire time needed for the translation.
Article 3: Delivery Deadline
The date of delivery is calculated based on the reception date of the COMPLETE documents to be translated.
The estimated delivery date provided on the quotes is for information purposes only and may be changed if unexpected difficulties are encountered during the translation.
However, L’ATELIER DES LANGUES commits to respect the planned deadline whenever possible. In case of an extension of the deadline, L’ATELIER DES LANGUES , on the CLIENT’s request, will give a 10% discount (including VAT) on the associated bill, except in the event of a delay caused by post delivery problems or in case of force majeure .
Article 4: Modification and Cancellation
THE CLIENT will have to submit in writing any modification in the text to be translated. Any modification will result in a new quote that the client will have to validate again.
In case of absolute necessity or if the CLIENT wishes to stop the work in progress or cancel his/her order, any text already translated will be charged in full as per the agreed quote and any remaining translation word will be charged at 30%. The work made before the cancelation will be delivered to the CLIENT.
Article 5: Price and conditions
The prices of translations, proof reading and transcriptions by L’ATELIER DES LANGUES do not include taxes and are expressed in euro.
For any quotes above 4 000 Euros, the CLIENT will pay a 1 000 euro deposit upon acceptance of his/her order.
The cost of delivery by courier or by post shall be paid by the CLIENT.
Invoices must be paid upon receipt. Any payment delay beyond 30 days (based on the original date of billing) will incur penalties, calculated with the interest rate applicable at the time. We will apply a 1.5 % penalty charge for each day the payment is delayed.
In case of non-payment or unauthorized disclosure of a document, legal actions might be undertaken by L’ATELIER DES LANGUES.
Article 6: Errors and claims
The CLIENT commits to review the work carried out by L’ATELIER DES LANGUES and any claim will have to be made in writing within 7 days following delivery of the documents. The CLIENT will have to mention clearly any errors in the translation; Any objections concerning interpretation nuances and/or style shall be excluded.
L’ATELIER DES LANGUES commits to carry out the necessary corrections immediately. However, the recorded and corrected errors will not be accepted as an excuse for the non-payment of the total bill.
In any event, the liability of L’ATELIER DES LANGUES shall be limited to the amount of the corresponding bill.
Article 8: Disputes
L’ATELIER DES LANGUES accepts no responsibility or liability in case of piracy of data transmitted by Internet.
Once the work has been delivered to the CLIENT, L’ATELIER DES LANGUES is no longer responsible for the use the CLIENT will make of it.
Any dispute concerning the interpretation or the execution of the above general terms of sale will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the commercial Court of Paris (75).
